I know what it’s like to feel stuck.
For me, my journey has mostly been about health. At age 14 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, setting me off on a 17 years long and harrowing journey of illness, mindset issues, and habits that kept me firmly rooted in anxiety, depression, physical illness, and suffering.
But about 7 years ago everything changed.
After coming to a breaking point with my health (with multiple autoimmune illnesses raging), I decided to take my life back into my own hands. I started treating myself naturally—from the inside out. I drastically changed my lifestyle to begin supporting myself and my healing. At the time, that meant healing diets, meditation, yoga and nature. During that period, I discovered my first passion—holistic physical healing, and it lead me to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2012 where I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach.
The next couple of years were wrought with ups and downs as I slowly (key word—it doesn’t have to be like this for you…more on that later) learned how to take care of myself and started breaking down what had become my identity after being ill for a decade—That I was and always would be a “sick person”. That I would never be able to be truly well. I discovered along the way that no matter how much kale and bone broth I ate, if my mindset and stress and other areas weren’t taken care of, I would never truly be well.
As I dug in deeper, I discovered the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza (author of You are the Placebo) and that changed everything for me.
I realized for the first time that mindset is EVERYTHING when it comes to change.
In short, your physical body, brain, decisions, and habits are the sum of your beliefs and emotions on a subconscious level. Change those and you change everything.
This led me last year to hypnotherapy. I was working with a health coach and having amazing results, but I was struggling to overcome the limiting belief that I would always be sick. No matter how much visualization and mediation I was doing, I just couldn’t shake it. So I set up my first session with a hypnotherapist. In that session, we worked through years of guilt and trauma that I was holding as my identity. We also addressed forgiveness for myself and finding creative solutions for moving past these behaviors and beliefs. I left the session feeling great, but it wasn’t until the next day that it all sunk in. During my meditation session the next day, I felt an uprising of emotion and just like a dam breaking, I felt years of trauma and pent up emotion come out. I cried and cried the most healing tears of my life.
After it was done, I felt a peace I haven’t ever in my life. Since that day, I have not questioned whether or not my body can fully heal. I know it in my bones.
What struck me as so amazing is that I felt like I worked through years of stuff in just an hour or two. It was remarkable how FAST I was able to change! I’ve never experienced anything like it. I knew I had to dig into hypnosis more.
This lead me to getting certified in Conversational Hypnotherapy in 2019. I had the distinct feeling when I went through the training process that I was meant to do this. I’ve never connected with a therapy more.
By integrating what I know from being a wellness coach with the supercharged power of hypnosis, I’ve found my own personal way of approaching my clients’ problems.
And that’s why I’m so excited to share it with you! I think you’ll find, like me, that hypnosis is one of the most powerful things you can do to change your life! You can find out all about what hypnosis is and how it works here.
